Diplomová práce „Gidon Kremer a Kremerata Baltica“ pojednává o komorních orchestrálních tradicích v hudební historii Lotyšska. Tyto tradice byly korunovány vytvořením světově proslulého komorního orchestru Kremerata Baltica. Práce pojednává o osobnosti a roli Gidona Kremera v kontextu této historie, stejně jako o významu jeho učitelů a současníků. Současně ukazuje aktuální postavení orchestru Kremerata Baltica na světové hudební scéně.

Abstract:

The Diploma Thesis "Gidon Kremer and Kremerata Baltica" explores the chamber orchestral traditions of Latvia's music history. These traditions resulted in the creation of the world famous Kremerata Baltica chamber orchestra. The thesis deals with Gidon Kremer's character and his role in the context of the history, as well as with the importance of his teachers and contemporaries. Simultaneously, the thesis explores the current position of Kremerata Baltica chamber orchestra as a part of the world music scene.
