Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá skupinou migrantů z českých zemí a jejich potomků žijících v oblasti města Alexandria v Minnesotě. Při interpretaci dějů je používáno etnografických prací českých i zahraničních autorů a moderních migračních teorií. Cílem práce je pohlédnout na situaci alexandrijských Bohemians bez ideologického či nacionalistického zatížení.
Abstract:
This thesis deals with a group of migrants from Czech lands and their descendants living in the area of Alexandria, Minnesota. Ethnographic works from Czech and foreign authors and modern migration theories are used for the interpretation of events. The aim of this thesis is to look at the situation of Alexandrian Bohemians without ideological or nationalistic burden.
