Diverzita rostlin v biotopu stepních trávníků na jižní Moravě – krajinný kontext a ochranářské implikace

Plant diversity of steppe-grassland habitat in southern Moravia – the landscape context and implications for nature conservation

Abstract:

V diplomové práci jsem se zabývala bazifilními stepními trávníky v panonské oblasti jižní Moravy. Cílem bylo přispět k lepšímu pochopení vzájemných vztahů mezi diverzitou vybraných skupin druhů (alfa diverzita, specialisté, ohrožené druhy a druhy problematické z pohledu ochrany přírody) na jedné straně a krajinnými parametry a abiotickými podmínkami na straně druhé. Hlavními otázkami bylo, zdali se na diverzitě stepních trávníků odráží způsob využívání krajiny v okolí lokalit, a to jak v současnosti, tak v minulosti. Dále byly zkoumány efekty velikosti plochy a izolovanosti lokalit a vliv environmentálních podmínek. Mezi prediktory byl zařazen také odhad velikosti biotopově specifického druhového zásobníku, jenž se považuje za klíčový při ekologické obnově trávníků. Vegetační data, jejichž hlavním zdrojem byla Česká národní fytocenologická databáze, jsem při terénním sběru doplnila o 32 snímků. Zpracovávané snímky patřily k vegetaci svazů Festucion valesiacae, Cirsio-Brachypodion pinnati, Bromion erecti nebo bazifilní stepní vegetace sensu lato. Vegetační data byla propojena s plochami stepních trávníků v krajině s využitím dat o mapování biotopů. V rámci souboru 182 lokalit stepních trávníků (sensu lato) a podsouborů zahrnujících zvlášť lokality úzkolistých a širokolistých stepních trávníků jsem sledovala efekty faktorů prostředí a krajiny na různých mírách diverzity (průměrné a nejvyšší relativní počty a sumy pokryvností). K jejich analýze jsem použila korelační analýzu a algoritmus Random Forests. Zjistila jsem, že větší plocha trávníků v současnosti má pozitivní vliv na alfa diverzitu a zastoupení problematických druhů ve stepních trávnících sensu lato. Využívání krajiny v minulosti je zásadní pro ohrožené druhy, na jejichž zastoupení má pozitivní vliv plocha trávníků s delší časovou kontinuitou a velikost lokality v současnosti. Environmentální faktory, zejména klimatické a topografické, nejvíce ovlivňovaly zastoupení stepních specialistů a ohrožených druhů. Výsledky práce poukazují na důležitost krajinného kontextu a dostupnost stepních specialistů v okolí lokalit, který by tak měl být uvažován v budoucích studiích a projektech obnovy stepních biotopů.

Abstract:

In my thesis, I focused on calcareous dry grasslands in the Pannonian region of South Moravia. The aim was to contribute to a better understanding of the relationships between the diversity of selected species groups (alpha diversity, specialists, endangered species, and problematic species for the nature-conservation perspective) on the one hand and landscape parameters and abiotic conditions on the other hand. The main questions were whether the diversity of steppe grasslands reflects the way the landscape around the sites is used, both in the present and in the past. Furthermore, the effects of area, isolation and the environmental condition were investigated. Predictors included an estimate of the size of the habitat-specific species pool, which is considered key in ecological restoration of grasslands. Vegetation data, whose main source was the Czech National Phytosociological Database, I supplemented with 32 vegetation plots during field work. The processed vegetation data belonged to the vegetation of Festucion valesiacae, Cirsio-Brachypodion pinnati, Bromion erecti or calcareous steppe vegetation sensu lato. Vegetation data were linked to areas of steppe grassland in the landscape using habitat mapping data. Within a set of 182 steppe grassland (sense lato) sites and sub-sets including narrow-leaved and broad-leaved steppe grassland sites separately, I examined the effects of environmental and landscape factors on several diversity metrics (mean and highest relative numbers and sums of covers). I used correlation analysis and the Random Forests algorithm for the analysis. I found that a larger area of grassland in the present has a positive influence on alpha diversity and relative richness of problematic species in steppe grasslands sensu lato. Past land use is essential for endangered species, which are positively influenced by grassland area with longer continuity and area site in the present. Environmental factors, especially climatic and topographic, have the greatest influence on the relative richness of steppe specialists and endangered species. The results of this study point to the importance of landscape context and availability of steppe specialists in the vicinity of the sites, which should thus be considered in future studies and restoration projects of steppe habitats.
