Governmental contributory organization and sources of theirs financial support in practice

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá neziskovými organizacemi a způsoby jejich financování z různých zdrojů. Možnosti státního rozpočtu financovat kulturní organizace pomocí dotací, jsou stále omezenější. Proto analyzuji možnosti a způsoby,jak pro neziskové organizace nalézt další zdroje financování. První část se zabývá neziskovým sektorem a jeho funkcemi, které ve společnosti plní. Ve druhé části jsou rozebrány význam a funkce státního rozpočtu a závislost neziskového sektoru na tomto způsobu financování. Na praktickém příkladu Slezského zemského muzea je provedena ukázka možností financování a snížení závislosti na státním rozpočtu. V závěru práce jsou shrnuta hlavní zjištění. Pokud změníme příspěvkovou organizaci na obecně prospěšnou společnost, její činnost se stane transparentnější a dají se pro ni nalézt další zdroje financování. Když ale společnost svoji efektivitu nezvýší, může dojít k omezování její činnosti, nebo až k úplnému zániku.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with non-profit organizations and ways of funding them from various sources. Possibility of state budget to subsidize cultural organizations through grants, is getting more and more limited. Therefore, I analyze the possibilities and ways for non-profit organizations to find additional sources of funding. The first part deals with the non-profit sector and its functions to fulfill in society. The second part desls with the importance and function of the state budget and the non-profit sector dependence on this method of financing. The practical example of Silesian Museum shows some of the financing possibilities and reducing its dependence one state budget. The conclusion summarizes the main findings. If we change contributory organization into public benefit corporation, its activities will become more transparent and we can find other sources of funding. But when the company does not increase its efficiency, it may lead to restriction of its activities, or even dissolution.
