The representation of the canary culture during Francoism in the novel Mararía

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is a study of canary culture during Francoism and then an analysis of the novel Mararía. The main focus is on canary culture displayed in this novel. The thesis is divided into two parts, the first part describes theoretical information about the author, canary culture and Francoism in these isles. Cieľom práce je štúdium kanárskej kultúry počas frankizmu a následná analýza románu Mararía. Hlavné zameranie práce je kanárska kultúra zobrazená v tomto románe. Práca je rozdelená na dve časti, prvá časť sa zameriava na teoretické informácie o autorovi, kanárskej kultúre a o frankizme na týchto ostrovoch.
