Abstract:

Hlavní náplní bakalářské práce je analýza a popis práce s magickým realismem v evropské kinematografii devadesátých let dvacátého století. V teoretické části se zaměřuje na to, co je to umělecký film a jak se může magický realismus projevovat ve filmu. V analytické části bakalářské práce jsou analyzována tři konkrétní díla, která se jeho prvky vyznačují. Jedná se o filmy Prolomit vlny (1996), Dvojí život Veroniky (1991) a Návrat idiota (1999). Zde se především rozebírají scény, ve kterých se magický realismus projevuje, a také způsob, jak s ním autoři pracují, jak je stylizovaný a jakými cestami ovlivňuje příběh.

Abstract:

The main content of the bachelor's thesis is the analysis and description of work with magical realism in European cinema of the 1990s. The theoretical part focuses on what is an art film and how magical realism can manifest itself in film. In the analytical part of the bachelor's thesis, three works are analyzed, which are characterized by manifestations of magical realism. These are the films Breaking the Waves (1996), The Double Life of Veronique (1991), and The Idiot Returns (1999). Above all, the scenes in which magical realism manifests itself are discussed, as well as the way in which the authors work with it, how it is stylized and how it influences the story.
