Education and support of pupils with mild mental disabilities in mainstream schools from their parents pespective

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce bude tematicky orientována na problematiku vzdělávání a komplexní podpory žáků s lehkým mentálním postižením ve školách hlavního vzdělávacího proudu. Teoretická východiska práce budou vycházet z aktuálních poznatků v oblasti mentální retardace a jejích specifik, se zvláštním zřetelem na pásmo lehké mentální retardace, dále východiska budou vycházet z oblasti vzdělávání žáků s mentálním postižením, z oblasti využívání podpůrných opatření a dalších mechanismů komplexní podpory této cílové skupiny žáků. Pozornost bude věnována také problematice poskytování poradenských služeb ve vzdělávání a možnostem spolupráce škol a školských zařízení s rodinami žáků s mentálním postižením či konceptu inkluzivního vzdělávání a podmínek jeho uplatňování. Empirická část práce bude zaměřena na prezentaci výsledků kvalitativně orientovaného výzkumného šetření zacíleného na analýzu reflexe vybraných aspektů edukace a podpory žáků s lehkým mentálním postižením ve školách hlavního vzdělávacího proudu, a to z pohledu jejich rodičů. Výzkumný vzorek bude tvořen rodiči dětí vzdělávaných ve školách na Mostecku. Výstupem práce bude formulace strukturovaných doporučení pro uplatňování a rozvoj participativního přístupu ke vzdělávání dětí z výše uvedené cílové skupiny ve školách hlavního vzdělávacího proudu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis will be thematically focused on the issue of education and comprehensive support for students with mild mental disabilities in mainstream schools. The theoretical basis of the work will be based on current knowledge in the field of mental retardation and its specifics, with special regard to the zone of mild mental retardation, the education of students with mental disabilities, support measures and other mechanisms of comprehensive support for this target group. Attention will also be paid to the issue of providing counseling services in education and the possibilities of cooperation between schools and school facilities with the families of pupils with mental disabilities or the concept of inclusive education and the conditions for its application. The empirical part of the work will focus on the presentation of the results of a qualitatively oriented research survey aimed at analyzing the reflection of selected aspects of education and support for students with mild mental disabilities in mainstream schools, from the perspective of their parents. The research sample will consist of parents of children educated in schools in the Most region. The output of the work will be the formulation of structured recommendations for the application and development of a participatory approach to the education of children from the above target group in mainstream schools.
