Course and consequences of Austro-Prussian War from health care perspective

Abstract:

Magisterská práce se zaměřuje na průběh, a především důsledky prusko-rakouské války na území českých zemí. V rámci samotného válečného konfliktu a jeho dopadů se práce pohybuje v rovině zdravotní péče. Jako hlavní důsledek bylo zpracováno působení Červeného kříže v rámci dvou zemských spolků v Čechách a na Moravě. Mezi dalšími důsledky byla zpracována epidemie cholery, rozvoj železnic a transport raněných a v neposlední řadě také zrušení královéhradecké pevnosti.

Abstract:

Magister thesis focuses on the course, and especially the consequences of the Austro-Prussian war in the Czech lands. Within the war conflict itself and its impact, this thesis focuses on health care. The work of the Red Cross within two land helping societies in Bohemia and Moravia was processed as the main consequence. Other processed consequences also include the cholera epidemic, the development of railways and the transport of the wounded, and finally, the abolition of the Königgrätz fortress.
