Development of the Czech party system after 1989

Abstract:

Stranický systém v České republice po roce 1989 začal fungovat na principu volné soutěže politických stran. Politické strany usilují o výkon moci prostřednictvím svobodných voleb – umísťují své kádry do zastupitelských politických funkcí, vysokých státních postů. Vládní strany navíc získávají i odpovědnost za obecný právní, ekonomický a kulturní stav ve společnosti. Stát proto přispívá na jejich provoz a financování jejich činnosti. Vzhledem k velkému počtu politických stran a málo významnému postavení většiny z nich, je podpora z veřejných financí poskytována politickým stranám na základě pravidel stanovených zákony. Základní financování politických stran lze rozdělit podle zdrojů na veřejné a soukromé, a obojí se skládá z několika částí. V práci se zabývám vzájemným poměrem těchto zdrojů, výhodami a problémy, které některé z nich představují, nastavením systému kontroly hospodaření politických stran, výročními zprávami politických stran.

Abstract:

The party system in the Czech Republic began to operate after 1989, based on the principle of free competition among political parties. Political parties strive for the political power through free elections – they place their cadres in the political representative functions and high-level government positions. Moreover, the political parties have a responsibility for general legal, ekonomic and cultural status in the society. The state, therefore, contributes to their operation and financing of their activities. Given the large number of political parties but only little significant position of most of them, political parties are financed by public funding support based on rules set by low. Core funding of political parties can be divided according to public or private sources, both consist of several parts. At my bachelor thesis I focus on relationship between these resources, benefits and problems that can be caused, management control system setting as well as the annual reports of political parties.
