Hydromorphologic Reserch of Morava River focused on Strážnický Meander

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se věnujeme hydromorfologickému průzkumu odškrceného Strážnického meandru na řece Moravě. Průzkum je z velké části založen na nepřetržitém měření hladiny podzemní vody, kterému je z metodického hlediska věnována velká pozornost. Zároveň je předložen i přesný postup, který může sloužit jako předloha k realizaci podobných průzkumů v jiných lokalitách. Práce se věnuje analýze, jak často je meandr připojen k aktivnímu korytu toku a po jakou část roku je zcela protékán vodou. Vzhledem k poměrně suché periodě, která zasáhla danou lokalitu v posledním roce, nedochází k protékání meandru příliš často. Dále byla zjišťována míra sedimentace pomocí příčných profilů generovaných v rozmezí dvou let z digitálního modelu povrchu získaného fotogrammetrickými metodami. Sedimentace je dominantním procesem ve Strážnickém meandru, probíhá však selektivně v závislosti na poloze v meandru. Odběrem sedimentárních vzorků byl určen charakter sedimentovaného materiálu v závislosti na poloze v odškrceném meandru.

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis we study the cutoff Strážnický meander on the river Morava. Research is mostly based on continual groundwater level measurement. We focus deeply on this part from the methodological point of view and specific algorithm is presented, that can be used as an example for similar research in other localities. We analyze, how often the cutoff meander is connected to the active river channel and for how long part of a year is the meander connected at both ends, allowing water to flow freely in the abandoned channel. Due to a relatively dry period, that was observed in the locality in the last year, this did not happen very often. Further research was focused on estimating the sedimentation rate by generating cross-sections from digital surface model in the interval of two years. The digital surface model was created by using the standard photogrammetric methods. The dominant process in the Strážnický meander is sedimentation, which however happens selectively, depending on the location in the meander. By analyzing sedimentary samples, the character of sedimentation was determined with regard on the specific location in the meander.
