Abstract:
The main aim of this thesis is an analysis of the modern English translation of the poetry of Mary Queen of Scots. The chief objective is to focus on three main areas. Firstly, it examines Mary´s turbulent life from a historical perspective. Secondly, the thesis analyses women´s education and literacy in the Renaissance age and how it impacted Mary´s writing.
