Partnership and family in the context of divorced women and their children

Abstract:

Tato práce se věnuje současné podobě rodinných a partnerských vztahů. Je zaměřena na dva aktéry, kteří mají v rámci rodiny důležitou roli. Jedná se o matku a jejích potomky. Práce zkoumá také specifickou formu partnerského soužití nazývanou Living Apart Together. Výzkum byl proveden pomocí polo-strukturovaných rozhovorů s pěti matkami a jejich dětmi. Cílem práce je popsat význam rodiny, její podobu a to jak je samotný pojem rodina vnímán. Na druhé straně, se práce zaměřuje na význam partnerského soužití a strategie, jaké v této formě partnerství ženy volí. V neposlední řadě se práce věnuje také tomu, jak partnera matky vnímají její potomci.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the current form of family and partner relationships - especially on two members who have an important role within the family ? the mother and her children. The thesis also examines a specific form of partner relationship called Living Apart Together. Within the research there are semi-structured interviews with five mothers and their children. The aim is to describe the importance of the family, her appearance and how the concept of family itself is perceived by the two members. On the other hand, the work focuses on the importance of partnership and strategies, which in this type of partnership women choose frequently. Finally, the work also focuses on the way how children perceive their mothers? relationships.
