Saturated laser induced fluorescence

Abstract:

V této práci se zabýváme saturačními efekty, které se mohou objevovat při měření laserem indukované fluorescence plazmatu, pokud excitujeme zkoumané částice laserovým zářením o vysoké hustotě energie. Zkoušíme, jestli je v praxi vhodné a reálné taková měření vyhodnotit. Navrhujeme postup, jehož principem je srovnání měřené fluorescence s teoretickým modelem zahrnujícím vlivy saturace. Podrobně popisujeme všechna měření, která je třeba provést, chceme-li pomocí tohoto postupu určit absolutní koncentraci vybraných částic. Zkoumanými částicemi v našich experimentech byly hydroxylové radikály OH ve výboji plazmové tužky.

Abstract:

In this thesis we deal with saturation effects which may occur during the laser-induced fluorescence measurements of plasma, when the examined particles are excited by a laser radiation of a high energy density. We judge the practical usability of these measurements evaluation. We propose a method based on a comparison of the measured fluorescence and a theoretical model utilizing the effects of the saturation. We describe the measurements that lead to the determination of the absolute concentration of selected particles based on this method. In our experiments the hydroxyl radicals OH in RF plasma jet were examined.
