Comparison of tools for digital information curation

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem Komparace nástrojů pro digitální informační kurátorství pojednává o tématu digitálního informačního kurátorství. Je zaměřena zejména na jeho možnosti, oblasti využití a jednotlivé segmenty, ze kterých se proces kurátorství skládá. Velká část je věnována nástrojům, které pro účely digitálního informačního kurátorství lze využívat. V práci je zmíněno několik pohledů na jejich kategorizaci, která je využita pro následný popis a hodnocení vybraných nástrojů. Popis nástrojů má komparativní charakter a zaměřuje se zejména na základní hodnotící kritéria pro používání aplikací, jako jsou například registrace, limity využití či cena, dále na vlastnosti uživatelsky orientovaného designu, tedy použitelnost, přístupnost a důvěryhodnost, a v neposlední řadě na jejich možnosti práce s obsahem, hlavní využití a cílové skupiny. Shrnuté výsledky jsou v jednotné formě prezentovány v přiložených tabulkách.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis entitled Comparison of tools for digital information curation deals with the topic of digital information curation. It focuses primarily on its abilities, areas of use and the individual segments of curation process. A large part of the thesis is devoted to tools that can be used for the purposes of digital information curation. There are mentioned several views on their categorization, which are used for subsequent description and evaluation of selected tools. The description of the tools is comparative and focuses mainly on the basic evaluation criteria such as registration, usage limits or price, as well as the user-oriented design and its qualities like usability, accessibility and credibility, and last but not least their ability to work with content, main use and target groups. The summarized results are presented in the enclosed tables.
