Development, control and monitoring of a smart chicken coop

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá kompletním vývojem chytrého kurníku s důrazem na možnost sériové výroby. Úvodní část se soustředí na výběr vhodného materiálu, konstrukci a uspořádání vnitřních prostor. Dále jsou představeny dva koncepty inteligentního kurníku a je diskutováno o jejich vlastnostech. Následně práce přistupuje k výběru chytrých funkcí, na základě kterých jsou zvoleny vhodné senzory a akční členy. Zahrnuta je také problematika výběru řídicí jednotky a možnosti sběru dat. Poslední část popisuje způsob implementace řízení a chytrých funkcí jako jsou automatická dvířka, ventilace, sledování množství krmiva a vody a další. Diskutována je také problematika využití technologie radiofrekvenční identifikace (RFID) pro sledování polohy slepic. Nakonec je pojednáváno o dalším vývoji a budoucnosti celého projektu.

Abstract:

This work focuses on the comprehensive development of a smart chicken coop with an emphasis on the possibility of mass production. The initial section concentrates on selecting suitable materials, construction, and the arrangement of the coop's interior spaces. It then introduces two smart coop concepts and discusses their features. The work subsequently addresses the selection of smart functions, for which appropriate sensors and actuators are chosen. It also covers the issue of selecting a control unit and the possibilities for data collection. The final section describes the implementation of control and smart functions such as automatic doors, ventilation, monitoring of feed and water levels, and more. The use of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology for tracking the position of the chickens is also discussed. Finally, the work addresses the further development and future of the entire project.
