Abstract:

The topic of my bachelor thesis is an image of a mother in Los hombres de Celina written by Maria Halleye Mory. The theoretical part is focused on a lifetime of the writer of the book compared to a historical development of Paraguay. The second and the third subchapters are concerned with Maria Halleye Mory´s life, his other literary works and criticism of some of his works by contemporary authors. The aim of the second chapter is to consider the topic of the book Los hombres de Celina and the attitude of the contemporary writers to the book. The practical part of my work is focused on a character of a woman and a mother in the literature of South America and Paraguay and from Maria Halleys Mory's point of view. The following three subchapters are devoted to the image of the main character from different points of view. This is represented by quotations of the book.

Abstract:

Tématem mé bakalářské práce je obraz matky v díle Los hombres de Celina od Maria Halleye Mory. Teoretická část je zaměřena na období života autora knihy v historickém vývoji Paraguaye. Druhá a třetí podkapitola pojednává o životě a o dalších dílech Maria Halleye Mory a následně o kritice některých z těchto jeho děl dalšími autory této doby. V druhé kapitole rozebírám téma knihy Los hombres de Celina a následně pohled soudobých autorů na tuto knihu. Praktická část mé práce se zabývá ženou a matkou v literatuře Jižní Ameriky, v paraguajské literatuře a z pohledu Maria Halleye Mory. Další tři podkapitoly jsou pak věnovány obrazu hlavní hrdinky z různých pohledů, a to pomocí citací z knihy.
