The death- the end or the beginning

Abstract:

Téma posmrtného života neboli toho, co nás čeká po smrti je podle mého názoru velmi zajímavým a u věřících lidí velmi důležitým tématem. Mnoho lidí doufá v jisté naději na zmrtvýchvstání a věčný život a jsou přesvědčeni, že smrt není konec. Většina náboženství se může shodnout, že smrt není konec všeho. S naprostou přesností víme, že smrt přijde jednoho dne pro každého, nikdy ji nemůžeme zrušit. Ale přesto máme naději, že po smrti nás čeká další život. Možná lepší než dosavadní, možná taky plný utrpení a bolesti. Možná na nás po smrti nečeká nic dalšího. To nemůže bohužel nikdo z nás vědět. Ani nám to nikdo nesdělí, každý si to musí vyzkoušet sám. Určitě ale v našem vědomí tkví strach ze smrti ? strach z vlastního konce a nejistota, co bude dál.

Abstract:

The afterlife issue or what awaits us after death is in my opinion a very interesting topic and it is very important for believers. Many people hope there is hope for resurrection and eternal life and they are convinced that death doesn?t mean the end. Most religions can agree that death is not the end of everything. We know with absolute accuracy that death is going to come for everyone one day and we can never stop it. But despite of this fact we still have hope for another life coming after death. It might be better than existing life or it might be full of suffering and pain. Maybe there is not anything else expecting us after death. But unfortunately no one can know this. Nor anyone can tell us, everyone must go through it on his own. But there is for sure the fear of death in our consciousness ? the fear of own end and the uncertainty of what comes next.
