Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem vzdělávání dětí a žáků s elektivním mutismem v mateřských a základních školách běžného typu. Práce je členěna na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část vychází z odborné literatury a je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První kapitola teoretické části pojednává o problematice elektivního mutismu. Zaměřuje se na definici této narušené komunikační schopnosti, její etiologii, symptomatologii, diagnostiku, terapii a na konečnou prognózu. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na dvě věkové skupiny dětí, které elektivní mutismus nejčastěji postihuje. Kapitola charakterizuje vývoj dětí předškolního a mladšího školního věku a jejich vývoj v jednotlivých oblastech. Třetí kapitola je zaměřena na vzdělávání dětí a žáků s elektivním mutismem. Kapitola vymezuje legislativní ukotvení pro vzdělávání těchto dětí, zaměřuje se na jejich možnosti vzdělávání v předškolních zařízeních a základních školách. Dále nabízí pohled na doporučené přístupy k těmto dětem a žákům ve školním prostředí a vymezuje roli pedagoga v kontextu vzdělávání těchto dětí. Čtvrtá, praktická část tvoří výzkumné šetření obsahující kvalitativní přístupy. Výzkumné šetření je vypracováno v designu případové studie, jejíž data byla získána strukturovanými rozhovory s žáky, rodiči, pedagogy a pozorováním dětí uvedené školy. V závěru práce jsou prezentovány výsledky výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the topic of education of children and pupils with elective mutism in kindergartens and primary schools of the regular type. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is based on the literature and is divided into three chapters. The first chapter of the theoretical part deals with the issue of elective mutism. It focuses on the definition of this impaired communication ability, its etiology, symptomatology, diagnosis, therapy and final prognosis. The second chapter focuses on the two age groups of children most commonly affected by elective mutism. The chapter characterizes the development of preschool and younger school-age children and their development in each area. The third chapter focuses on the education of children and pupils with elective mutism. The chapter defines the legislative anchor for the education of these children, focusing on their educational opportunities in preschool and primary schools. It also offers insights into recommended approaches to these children and pupils in the school setting and defines the role of the teacher in the context of the education of these children. The fourth, practical, part consists of a research investigation incorporating qualitative approaches. The research inquiry is developed in a case study design, with data collected through structured interviews with pupils, parents, teachers and observations of children in the school in question. The paper concludes by presenting the results of the research investigation.
