Cultural heritage one of factors development of region (case study)

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou kulturního dědictví jako důležitého faktoru pro rozvoj regionu. Cílem práce je ukázat, že význam kulturního dědictví je mnohdy větší než si v běžném životě uvědomujeme, nehmotné a hmotné kulturní dědictví ovlivňuje regionální identitu obyvatel, zvláště když je vázáno na významné kulturní památky nebo budovy v regionu. Práce se soustředila na region Chrudim, kde je právě tohoto faktu spojení s významnou kulturní památkou využito. Teoretická část práce vycházela ze studie dokumentů a literatury týkající se kultury a kulturního dědictví, v druhé části je provedena charakteristika prostředí. Třetí, praktická část se zaměřila na kvalitativní a kvantitativní šetření včetně vyhodnocení. Na základě výsledků z provedených šetření byl zhodnocen význam a potenciál kulturního dědictví v regionu. Důraz je také kladen na spolupráci s Veřejnou správou – město musí podporovat památky, které jsou v jeho vlastnictví a investovat finanční prostředky do jejich obnovy.

Abstract:

The main objective of this dissertation is to show that the importance of cultural heritage, in what can be seen in everyday life, is often much more than what we realize, and that both tangible and intangible cultural heritage affects the regional identity of the inhabitants, particularly when it is bound to important cultural monuments or buildings in the area. This point is evident in the East-Bohemian town of Chrudim, the focus of this thesis, where there is a clear connection between cultural heritage among the inhabitants and the cultural monuments in the vicinity. The theoretical part of this thesis draws on documents and literature pertaining to cultural and cultural heritage, the second part looks at the characteristics of the environment. The practical part is made up of the qualitative and quantitative research undertaken, including an evaluation of the findings; based on the results from the research conducted, the importance and potential of cultural inheritance in the region was then assessed. Emphasis has also been stressed in regards to coopera-ting with the public authorities – the town must support the monuments which are in its possession, and invest the necessary funds for their restoration.
