Cílem této práce je zjistit, k jakým chybám dochází při překladu legislativy Evropské unie, proč k nim dochází a jak tyto chyby eliminovat. Za tímto účelem je nastíněna jazyková situace v EU, přiblížen proces překládání v EU, co se překládání, překladatelů a nástrojů překladu týče. The aim of the thesis is to find out what types of mistakes are made during the process of translating the EU law, why they occur and how to eliminate them. For this reason a language overview of the EU is given, the process of translating in the EU is explained taking into consideration translating, translators and tools.
