Consumer credits in time of financial crisis in Czech banks

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o spotřebních úvěrech v rámci českého bankovního trhu. Jsou zde rozebírány, druhy, úročení i jejich splácení. Práce se také zabývá vývojem zadluženosti českých domácností, především s důrazem na krizová léta 2007-2010 a zohledňuje úlohu působení finanční krize na poskytování těchto bankovních produktů. V první, teoretické části se zabývám bankou v obecném slova smyslu, její úlohou ve společnosti a zmiňuji produkty, které banky nabízí. Věnuji se i důležité úloze úvěrových registrů. V práci je dále uvedena obecná charakteristika spotřebních úvěrů a podmínky, za kterých jsou poskytovány klientům. V poslední kapitole této části se zabývám vlivem finanční krize na tyto aktivní bankovní obchody v ČR. V aplikační části poté srovnávám vybrané spotřební úvěry mnou vybraných bank a porovnávám výhodnost těchto úvěrů pro klienta. Znovu také neopomínám zmínit finanční krizi, jako jeden z nejdůležitějších faktorů, který poskytování právě těchto produktů výrazně ovlivňil. Uvádím i nemalou úlohu nebankovního sektoru v této problematice.

Abstract:

I analyze the types, interest rates and modes of repayment of the loans. I describe the development in the rate of indebtedness of Czech households with special focus on the critical years of 2007-2010 and discuss the impact of the financial crisis on the banks willingness to provide credit. In the first, theoretical part I describe banks in general, their role in the society and I list the products provided by banks. I also concentrate on the key role of the Czech credit registry. I give a general characterization of consumer loans, their terms and conditions. Finally, I study the effect of the financial crisis on the active bank dealings in the Czech Republic. In the practical part I compare specific consumer loans provided by selected banks and the respective benefits of the loans for clients. I focus again on the financial crisis as one of the major factors affecting the creation of credit and stress the considerable role the non-banking sector has had on it.
