Comparison of teaching regional geography of Asia on the French and Czech secondary schools

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá komparací vzdělávacích systémů Česka a Francie. Komparace systémů zahrnuje jednotlivé porovnání stupňů vzdělávání a následně také komparaci vzdělávacích programů a pojetí výuky zeměpisu. Praktická část práce je tvořena analýzou a hodnocením geografických učebnic a pracovních sešitů českých nakladatelství s francouzskými se zaměřením na přehlednost, rozsah, obtížnost, obrazový materiál a doplňující texty. Součástí praktické části práce je rozbor učiva na příkladu vybraných makroregionů Asie. Analýza se zaměřuje na rozsah, návaznost učiva, časovou dotaci, očekávané výstupy včetně plnění kompetencí. Nedílnou součástí týkající se makroregionů Asie je také porovnání regionálního dělení Asie v jednotlivých učebnicích. Poslední kapitola se věnuje porovnání vyváženosti učiva, které se čeští žáci naučí o Francii a naopak. Účelem práce je zjištění, zda francouzští žáci získají větší množství informací o dané problematice a zda je dané učivo přehlednější a pro žáky atraktivnější.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with comparison of Czech and French education systems. Comparison of systems involves individual comparison of education levels and, subsequently, comparison of educational programs and concepts of geography teaching. Practical part of the thesis consists of analysis and evaluation of geographic textbooks and workbooks of Czech and French publishers, focusing on clarity, scope, difficultness, picture material and supplementary texts. The analysis of the study syllabus by example of selected macroregions of Asia is part of the thesis. The analysis focuses on the extent, continuity, time allocation, expected outputs, including performance of competencies. An integral part regarding the Asian macroregions is also the comparison of the regional division of Asia in individual textbooks. The last chapter deals with the comparison of the balance between the study sylabus learnt by Czech students about France and vice versa. The purpose of the work is to find out whether French pupils have more information about the subject and whether the subject is clearer and more attractive to pupils.
