Oral manifestations of gastrointestinal disorders

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vybranými gastrointestinálními chorobami, které se mohou manifestovat v dutině ústní. V práci je rozebrána problematika gastroesofageálního refluxu, Crohnovy choroby, ulcerózní kolitidy, celiakie, peptického vředu a poruch salivace. U každého onemocnění je uvedena klinická manifestace v dutině ústní včetně rad a tipů pro individuální hygienu. Práce obsahuje i praktickou část. První část je realizována pomocí dotazníkového šetření určeného pro profesionály v oblasti stomatologie a druhá část praktické části zahrnuje kazuistiky pacientů trpících gastrointestinální poruchou, jež se manifestuje i v dutině ústní. Hlavním cílem práce je informovat čtenáře, jak pečovat o svou ústní dutinu, pokud trpí gastrointestinální poruchou s následnou manifestací v dutině ústní a profesionálům práce poslouží jako ucelený soubor informací o možných projevech gastrointestinálních chorob v dutině ústní, které mohou využít při diagnostice a terapii daných lézí.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with selected gastrointestinal diseases, which can manifest itself in oral cavity. The thesis deals with gastroesophageal reflux disease, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, peptic ulcer and salivary disorders. There are clinical manifestations in the oral cavity for each illnesses, including advice and tips for individual hygiene. The thesis also contains a practical part. The first part is realized through a questionnaire survey for dental professionals and the second part of the practical part includes case studies of patients suffering from gastrointestinal disorder, which also manifests itself in the oral cavity. The main aim of the bachelor thesis is inform the readers how take care about their oral cavity if they suffer from a gastrointestinal disorder with subsequent manifestations in the oral cavity and for dental professionals the thesis serve as a comprehensive set of informations about the possible manifestations of gastrointestinal diseases in the oral cavity to be used in the diagnosis and therapy of the lesions.
