Abstract:

Práce se zabývá problematikou hrdinství a obecnými kategoriemi lidské velkoleposti a slávy, které jsou prezentovány jak na světě sportu, tak i mimo něj. V první, rozsáhlejší teoreticko-analytické, jsou vymezeny tři základní úkoly – popsat vývoje lidského hrdinství a popsat proměny kategorií lidské velkoleposti, určit, zdali se dá ztotožňovat klasické a sportovní hrdinství a na časové ose určit a popsat, jak se vyvíjely kategorie sportovní proslulosti a na tomto základě determinovat stěžejní pojmy (hrdina, ikona, hvězda, vzor). Ve druhé části, která je kvůli svému menšímu rozsahu nazvaná empirickou sondou, jsou konfrontovány některé poznatky z předchozí části s přímým pohledem sportovců, prostřednictvím kvalitativního hloubkového rozhovoru se třemi bývalými elitními sportovci. Ve výsledcích je tak patrný odklon od úcty ke klasickým formám lidské velkoleposti a hledání nových jejich nových forem, kdy právě sportovci byli jednou z možných náhražek za staré formy velkoleposti a začali tak plnit roli hrdinů a vzorů. Vše je ovšem relativizováno při pohledu samotných sportovců, kdy v některých případech se liší pohled zvenčí a jejich pojetí jejich osobního vnímání daných záležitostí.

Abstract:

The work deals with the heroism and the general categories of human greatness and glory, which are presented to the world of sport and beyond it. All is divided into two parts. In the first larger theoretical-analytic is defining three basic tasks - to describe the development of human heroism and describe transformations categories of human greatness, to determine whether we can identify classic (cultural) heroism and sports heroism and also on a timeline identify and describe how were developed category of sport greatness and on this basis determine the key concepts (hero, icon, star and role model). In the second part, which is due to its smaller scope called empirical probe, we confront some of the findings from the previous section with a direct point of view of athletes, through qualitative in-depth interviews with three former elite athletes. In the results are noticeable shift away from traditional forms of respect for human greatness and searching of new forms of this greatness, when the athletes were just one of the possible substitutes for the old forms of magnificence and they began to play the role of heroes and role models. All, however, is relativized in the perspective of the athletes which is in some cases different from the outside view and different from the conception of their personal perception of these matters.
