Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá udržitelností rozvoje cestovní ruchu, která je rozdělena do tří pilířů dle dopadů cestovního ruchu na environmentální, ekonomické a sociokulturní prostředí. Konkrétní dopady pak analyzuji na destinacích. Pro tuto práci jsem si vybrala takové destinace, které jsou cestovním ruchem nejvíce zasaženy. Zaměřila jsem se tedy na destinace tzv. 3S – sun, sea, sand, jako jsou Karibské státy, část Asie a Pacifik a Španělsko a Itálii v Evropské unii, které mimo 3S nabízejí velký počet historických památek. Nejlépe měřitelné jsou dopady ekonomické, dle ukazatelů například HDP, kdy v těchto přetížených destinacích je jeho podíl na cestovním ruchu velmi významný. Ostatní dopady jsou spíše všeobecnými fakty, kterými jsou destinace známé. Dopady cestovního ruchu, které v práci analyzuji tak lze shrnout na těch nejvíce charakteristických pro danou destinaci. A blíže charakterizuji dopady cestovního ruchu pro Španělsko a Itálii. Tyto dvě oblasti jsou každým rokem vystavovány většímu náporu účastníků cestovního ruchu a tím iritují obyvatelstvo a přetvářejí původ a hodnoty destinací. Zjištěním této práce tak byla překvapivě negativní ekonomická závislost na udržitelnosti cestovního ruchu, jelikož právě destinace nejvíce využívané pro cestovní ruch trpí největšími dopady. Ačkoliv by tak cestovní ruch měl generovat vysoké příjmy pro údržbu a zdokonalování destinace, často jsou zjištěné dopady spíše opakem. V Karibských státech chudoba, v Asii nemorální zaměstnávání a katastrofální ničení ovzduší a v Evropě zánik původní kultury a iritaci obyvatelstva.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the sustainability of tourism development which is divided into three pillars, according to the impact of tourism on environmental, economic and socio-cultural area. Then I have analysed the specific impacts of the each mentioned destinations. I have chosen the destinations which are the most affected by the tourism industry. So I have focused on destinations known as 3S – sun, sea, sand as Caribbean, Asia and Pacific, and Spain and Italy in the European Union which offers besides 3S a lot of historical monuments. The easiest measurable impacts are the economics such as GDP, where the share of tourism is very significant in these over tourism destinations. Other impacts are mostly general facts that are known about these destinations. The impacts of tourism, which I have analysed in the thesis, can be summarized on the most characteristic for the destinations. And I also characterize tourism impacts for Spain and Italy in more details. Each year, these two areas have to face to greater burden by tourism, which irritate residents and destroy the origins and values of destinations. The main finding of this thesis is surprisingly negative economic dependence on the sustainability of tourism, as the destinations most used for tourism suffer the greatest impact. Although tourism should generate high revenues for maintenance and destination refinement, often the impacts are totally opposite. In the Caribbean countries it is poverty, employment of kids and adolescents and catastrophic air destruction in Asia, and the disappearance of indigenous culture and irritation in Europe.
