Needs analysis of clients of a low-threshold facility for children and youth

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo identifikovat potřeby klientů nízkoprahového zařízení pro děti a mládež. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř částí. První část je přehledová, kde jsou uvedeny současné poznatky o nízkoprahových zařízeních pro děti a mládež a o cílové skupině. Dále následuje druhá část, která se zabývá teoretickými východisky. Teoretická východiska práce se zaměřují na analýzu potřeb, potřeby a bariéry a stimulanty. Třetí část se zabývá výzkumem, konkrétně jeho metodologií. Jsou zde uvedeny informace o zvolené metodě a o průběhu výzkumu. Poslední část se zabývá interpretací mých zjištění. Bylo provedeno sedm hloubkových rozhovorů. V těchto rozhovorech jsem se snažila najít bariéry a stimulanty, které ovlivňují proces naplňování potřeb. Potřeby chápu jako stav, kdy jsou bariéry minimalizovány a stimulanty maximalizovány. Provedený výzkum poskytl poznatky, které mohou pomoci při zlepšování praxe sociální práce.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out the needs of the clients of a low threshold facility fo childern and youth. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part is an overview part, where current knowledge about low threshold facilities for childern and youth is presented as well as the target group. Then there is a second part which deals with the theoretical background. The theoretical foundation of the thesis focus on the needs analysis, needs and barriers and stimulants. The third part focuses on the reasearch, specifically the methodology. Information about the chosen method is presented as well as the research process. The last section delas with the interpretation of my findings. Seven in-depth interviews were conducted. In these interviews I tried to find barriers and stimulants that influence the process of needs fulfilment. I understand need as a state where barriers are minimized and stimulants are maximized. The research conducted has providided insights that can help with improving social work practice.
