Lesbian oriented women's strategy and ways of sharing their sexual orientation

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce "Strategie a důvody sdělování sexuální orientace u lesbicky orientovaných žen" analyzuje především strategie neboli způsoby, kterými lesbické ženy sdělují svoji sexuální orientaci a také důvody, proč ji sdělují a jejich vliv na strategie způsobu sdělení. Práce není striktně rozdělená na teoretickou a metodologickou část. Na jejím začátku se věnuji především teorii, představuji zde pojmy jako jsou heterosexualita, sexuální orientace, homosexualita, proces coming out a mapuji také postoj k homosexualitě. Tato převážně teoretická část navazuje plynule na část výzkumnou. V této navazující části jsem prováděla výzkum s lesbicky orientovanými informantkami na téma strategie a důvody sdělování, které použily při odhalení své sexuální orientace. Jejich výsledná tvrzení jsou dále různě doplňována o teoretické znalosti. V závěru práce zhodnocuji jaké strategie u nich převažovaly a také důvody, které je nejčastěji vedly a motivovaly k takovému sdělení.

Abstract:

The bachelor's work "Lesbian-oriented womens strategy and ways of sharing their sexual orientation" analyses mainly strategies or methods by which lesbian women convey their sexual orientation and also reasons why they do so and their influence on the strategies of the conveyance. The work isn't strictly divided into the theoretical and methodological parts. I primarily devote to the theory in the beginning, I introduce the terms like heterosexuality, sexual orientation, homosexuality, coming out process and I also conduct a survey of attitude to homosexuality. This mostly theoretical part continues in the research section. In this following part I carried out a research into lesbian oriented respondents, focusing on the strategies and notification reasons, which they used while exposuring their orientation. Their final statements were completed with theoretical knowledge. In the conclusion I evaluate which of the strategies were most common and also the reasons which motivated them to these notifications.
