Introduction of Immunohistochemical Detection of Breast Cancer Micrometastasis in Sentinel Nodes by means of Cytokeratin 19 Antibody
Abstract:
Karcinom prsu metastazuje s vysokou pravděpodobností predilekčně do sentinelové/vých lymfatických uzlin. Jediná spolehlivá metoda vizualizace mikrometastáz nebo clusterů či izolovaných nádorových buněk je jejich imunohistochemická detekce pomocí cytokeratinu, čímž se vyčlení riziková skupina žen s častějším výskytem lokoregionální nebo vzdálené diseminace a kratším intervalem přežití.
Abstract:
Likehood sentinel lymphatic node is most frequent site of breast carcinoma. The method of choice for detection of micrometastasis or clusters or single tumor cells is immunohistochemistry by cytokeratin. By this method is possible separate high-risk group of women with significant occurrence of dissemination and shorter period of survival.
