The skin, like the rest of the systems in the human body, gradually ages with increasing age and characteristic signs of aging appear on it. The inevitable effects of chronological aging can be accelerated by various external factors, including solar radiation that reaches the earth's surface, which contains ultraviolet radiation. Kůže, tak jako zbytek soustav v lidském těle, postupně s přibývajícím věkem stárne a objevují se na ní charakteristické znaky stárnutí. Neodvratné účinky chronologického stárnutí mohou být urychleny různými vnějšími faktory, mezi které řadíme sluneční záření dopadající na zemský povrch, které obsahuje ultrafialové spektrum záření.
