The use of elements of music therapy in the therapy of stuttering

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahem muzikoterapie a balbuties. Poskytuje vhled do problematiky koktavosti a muzikoterapeutických metod a technik, které lze v součinnosti s logopedickou intervencí využít při terapii koktavosti, zejména ve spojitosti se snížením psychické tenze a emociální zátěže, kterou tato narušená komunikační schopnost představuje. Teoretická část je zaměřena na vymezení problematiky koktavosti, nabízí stručný pohled na etiologii, symptomatologii, klasifikaci a diagnostiku balbuties a výběr metod a terapeutických programů. Představuje také muzikoterapii jako jednu z možných podpůrných terapií pro balbutiky, uvádí některé muzikoterapeutické přístupy a techniky, užívané při terapii balbuties. Výzkumná část je provedena ve formě kvalitativního výzkumu, údaje jsou získávány prostřednictvím přímého pozorování, kazuistiky, analýzy dokumentů a rozhovorů. Cílem bakalářské práce je popsat účinky vlivu muzikoterapie na osobu s koktavostí a analyzovat možnosti přínosu muzikoterapie v terapii balbuties.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the mutual realtion between music therapy and stuttering. It offers the insight into theme of stuttering and techniques of music therapy, that can be used in close cooperation with the logopaedic intervention in the therapy of stuttering, especially focused on reduction of psychical tension and emotional burden. The theoretical part explains important therms, etiology, symptomatology, classification, diagnosis and overview of therapeutical methods and techniques of the therapy of stuttering. Further, there is presented the music therapy and its possibilities of support in the field of various approaches in the therapy of stuttering. The practical part is focused on a single subject and has the form of a direct observation, case study, desk analysis and interviews. The aim is to describe the possible effects of the music therapy on people who stutter and the possibilities of its benefits in the therapy of stuttering.
