The Current Role of the Hunting Community in the Velký Vřešťov

Abstract:

Studentka se ve své závěrečné práci zaměřila na mysliveckou komunitu v městysu Velký Vřešťov ze sociálně antropologické perspektivy. Popisuje činnost mysliveckého sdružení v kontextu lokální společnosti. Věnuje se také mysliveckým tradicím a zvykům jako součásti venkovské kultury a identity. Cílem práce je popsat činnost myslivců v kontextu současné venkovské společnosti. Zjistit motivaci, která venkovské myslivce k jejich zájmové činnosti přivedla. Během výzkumu studentka použila kvalitativní metody, jako jsou polo-strukturované rozhovory, ale především zúčastněné pozorování myslivců při jejich činnosti, studium archivů či médií a audiovizuální snímek. Z hlediska teoretického zakotvení studentka vychází z antropologie venkova, myslivosti na venkově a myslivosti z hlediska sociálních věd.

Abstract:

In her bachelor´s thesis, the student has focused on the hunting community in the borough of Velký Vřešťov from a social anthropological perspective. She has described the activities of a hunting association in the context of local community. She has also focused on hunting traditions and customs as part of rural culture and identity. The aim of the thesis is to describe the hunters´ activities in the context of contemporary rural society, and detect the motivation that has led hunters to the activity of their hobby. During the research, the student has used qualitative methods, such as semi-structured interviews, but above all, participant observation of hunters during their activities as well as the study of archives, media and audiovisuals. In terms of theory, the the thesis has been based on rural anthropology, rural hunting and hunting in terms of social sciences.
