Tématem této práce je především mikrofinancování a jako příklad bude zkoumána konkrétně Grameen Bank. Banka, která začala své aktivity od roku 1976 je v současné době jednou z největších v oboru a jejím cílem je dát lidem v chudých oblastech šanci seberealizaci a finanční soběstačnost, zlepšit životní úroveň atd., jedním slovem vést boj proti chudobě.
