Doping in Bodybuilding

Abstract:

Cílem práce je podat ucelený souhrn informací o kulturistice a dopingu v tomto sportu. Práce je rozdělena na tři části. V první části je kulturistika definována jako sport, popsána její historie, federace a svazy působící ve světě a v České republice, rozdělení a druhy soutěží a jejich řízení. Hlavním jádrem této práce je druhá část, která je zaměřená na doping, kde je kladen důraz na nejčastěji zneužívané dopingové látky v kulturistice, jejich účinky a především na zdravotní rizika spojená s užíváním těchto látek. Dále jsou zde uvedeny nejčastější důvody zneužívání dopingu spolu s právními a sportovními riziky. Praktická část je pak zaměřena na analýzu dopingu v rekreační kulturistice. Celá práce přináší poznatky pro ty, kteří si chtějí rozšířit povědomí o tomto sportu a vším co je s ním spojené.

Abstract:

The goal of the thesis is to present a comprehensive summary of information associated with the bodybuilding and doping. The work is divided into three parts. The first part provides the definition of the bodybuilding as a sport; the history of the sport, associations performing in the world and the Czech Republic, classification, the kinds and the management of the competitions are described. The core of the study is established in the second part of the work focusing on the doping; the dope substances most frequently misused in the area of bodybuilding, the effects, and mainly the health hazards related to using the mentioned substances are emphasized. Furthermore, the most frequent reasons for misusing the doping together with the legal and sport risks are introduced. The practical part focuses on the analysis of doping in the area of the recreational bodybuilding. The entire work offers the knowledge for the people that want to raise their awareness of the bodybuilding and of all that is associated with the kind of sport.
