The Future of Automotive Indrustry and Industry 4.0

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tím, jak ropné šoky a emisní normy ovlivnily vývoj spalovacích motorů v automobilovém průmyslu a dále identifikuje problémy, se kterými se spalovací motor bude muset vypořádat, aby vyhověl novým emisním normám. Dále se věnuje Průmyslu 4.0 a jak 4. průmyslová revoluce ovlivnila a ovlivňuje automobilový průmysl. Práce je rozčleněna do čtyř samostatných kapitol. V první kapitole analyzuji producenty, exportéry a importéry ropy, zabývám se teorií ropného vrcholu a výrobou paliv z ropy. V druhé kapitole popisuji vývoj spalovacích motorů, důsledky ropných šoků, emisních norem a kauzy Dieselgate. Ve třetí kapitole se zabývám klady a zápory jednotlivých alternativních pohonů, jako je HCCI, hybridní motory, elektromobily a vodíkový pohon. Čtvrtá kapitola se zabývá Průmyslem 4.0 a jeho dopady na automobilový průmysl, hlavně co se týká autonomního řízení a automatizace výroby.

Abstract:

Present thesis deals with the manner how oil shocks and emission standards have influenced the development of combustion engines in car industry. Following part identifies the issues with combustion engine that will have to be dealt with in order to meet the emission standards. Furthermore the thesis deals with Industry 4.0 and outlines the manner how has the 4th Industrial revolution influenced, and still influences, the car industry. The thesis is divided into four separate chapters. First chapter deals with the oil producers, exporters and importers; summarizes the peak oil theory and presents production of petroleum fuels. Second chapter describes the development of combustion fuels and the consequences of oil shocks, emission standards and the Dieselgate scandal. Third chapter discusses the pros and cons of individual alternative drives, such as HCCI, hybrid engines, electric automobiles and hydrogen drives. Fourth and final chapter deals with the Industry 4.0 and its impacts on car industry, especially with regard to driverless car and production automation.
