Restoration of objects by Stanislav Sucharda - plaster sculptures of Charles IV and burnt clay sculpture. Adhesives testing for glueing gypsum artifacts.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou bloků. Praktická část diplomové práce se zabývá restaurováním sádrové plastiky Karla IV. a plastiky z pálené hlíny z depozitáře Vily Stanislava Suchardy v Praze. Jedná se o samostatné řešení restaurátorského úkolu v plném rozsahu, od zpracování návrhu na restaurování přes důkladný restaurátorský průzkum až po vlastní restaurování a zpracování restaurátorské dokumentace. Teoretická část je zaměřena na rozšířené experimentální testování vybraných adheziv pro lepení historických sádrových artefaktů. Na základě této práce proběhly zkoušky vybraných technologických postupů, které byly aplikovány v rámci restaurování sádrové plastiky Karla IV. Teoretická část diplomové práce vychází a rozšiřuje poznatky získané z teoretické části předchozí bakalářské práce a je doplněna o anorganickou škálu adheziv.

Abstract:

The thesis is devided into two blocks. The practical part is aimed up to restoration of plaster sculpture of Charles IV and burnt clay sculptures by Stanislav Sucharda's villa. In detail there is a restorational problem in its complete form creating a design of restoration, complex restorational survey and restoration work and creating an restoration documentation. Theoretical part is showing a complex experimental testing of particular adhesives for bonding gypsum artifacts. The testing of particular technological methods which was applied to restoration of plaster sculpture of Charles IV was based on this work. The theoretical part of thesis completes collected knowledge from theoretical part of my Bachelor thesis. The work is completed with an anorganical collection of adhezives.
