Tato diplomová práce se věnuje současné výtvarné scéně, jejíž díla byla vytvořena, jakožto reflexe konfliktů 20. a 21. století v oblasti Blízkého východu. Inspirací pro výběr tohoto tématu mi byla značně omezená reflexe dané problematiky v českém akademickém prostředí, kde je hlavní pozornost věnována tradičnímu islámskému umění, a současná umělecká scéna blízkovýchodního regionu není dostatečně zmapována …more

Contemporary Middle Eastern Art is currently receiving considerable attention in the West among collectors, art critics, museum curators and historians. High number of books has appeared recently, as well as many exhibitions, which are held in city capitals all over Western Europe and the USA.
