Optimizing and securing data infrastructure for sharing big data in a marketing agency

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá optimalizací a zabezpečením datové infrastruktury pro sdílení objemných dat v marketingové agentuře, která se zabývá produkcí obsahu na sociálních sítích. Pro sdílení dat mezi zaměstnanci a klienty marketingové agentury jsou aktuálně využívána pouze komerční cloudová úložiště, která nevyhovují požadavkům firmy. Bylo zapotřebí navrhnout a zprovoznit infrastrukturu, která bude schopna tyto služby nahradit. První část práce se zabývá definováním požadavků a výběrem směrů. Vybraným směrem bylo použití služby Nextcloud. Druhá část se věnuje samotnému návrhu pomocí Proxmox HA clusteru, a závěrečná část je věnována implementaci návrhu na současnou infrastrukturu. Vzhledem k tomu, že nebylo možné docílit navržené infrastruktury z nedostatku finančních prostředků, bakalářská práce obsahuje doporučení, jak by měla firma pokračovat při investicích do své infrastruktury.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the optimization and security of the data infrastructure for sharing voluminous data in a marketing agency that deals with the production of content on social networks. For data sharing between employees and clients of the marketing agency, only commercial cloud storage is currently used, which does not meet the companys requirements. It was necessary to design and operate an infrastructure that would be able to replace these services. The first part of the work deals with defining requirements and choosing directions. The chosen direction was the use of the Nextcloud service. The second part is dedicated to the design itself using the Proxmox HA cluster, and the final part is dedicated to the implementation of the design on the current infrastructure. Since it was not possible to achieve the proposed infrastructure due to a lack of funds, the bachelors thesis contains recommendations on how the company should continue investing in its infrastructure.
