Anotácia:

The aim of this Master Thesis is to study the phenomenon of hip hop subculture and observe the way it is propagated and how it spreads to the masses. In the first part of my work I examine the theoretical basis of the concept of subculture as a social phenomenon ,the origin of the term from sociologic point of view, and a cultural complexity of the issue of the study of youth subcultures, drawing on the works of contemporary scholars, in cultural studies, and sociology. The second part will cover the Hip Hop subculture and mainly cultural sociology of Rap music. In my work I will touch the historical origin of chosen subcultures and describe the evolution and spreading of chosen subcultures from the United States of America to the whole world. As I used to live in Russia and currently live in the Czech Republic, I write about reflection of chosen subcultures in young Russian and Czech people nowadays
