Questions of identity issues and multilingualism in novels of Milena Oda and Michael Stavarič

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the question of identity and multilingualism in selected novels of German-speaking authors of Czech origin Milena Oda and Micheal Stavarič. These authors create in their writings very specific individuals, The theoretical part deals with incorporating the theme into the discipline of intercultural Germanistics (German studies), development of intercultural literature in Germany and modern German literature written by authors from Bohemia after the year 1968 and the definition of the analysed concepts of identity, an outsider, multilingualism and intertextuality. The analytical part focuses on cultural and literary analysis with the main emphasis on identity, alienation, conflict situations and multilingualism (used for development of identities and as an artistic tool in literature) and intertextuality with a subsequent comparison of the novels. The thesis is written in German.

Keywords: intercultural, literature, identity, novels, multilingualism, intertextuality Tématem diplomové práce je otázka identity a vícejazyčnosti ve vybraných románech německy píšících autorů českého původu Mileny Ody a Micheala Stavariče. Tito autoři vytváří ve svých dílech velmi specifická individua. Teoretická část se zabývá začleněním tématu do disciplíny interkulturní germanistiky, vývojem interkulturní literatury v Německu a novodobou německy psanou literaturou autorů pocházejících z Čech po roce 1968 a vymezení v práci rozebíraných pojmů identita, outsider, vícejazyčnost a intertextualita. Analytická část práce se zaměří na kulturně-literární rozbor s hlavním zřetelem na identitu, odcizení, konfliktní situace, vícejazyčnost (zohledněná ve vývoji identit a jako umělecký nástroj literatury) a intertextualita s následným srovnáním románů. V závěru budou cíle výzkumu zhodnoceny a stručně shrnuty. Práce je psána v německém jazyce.
