Abstract:

Diplomová práce předkládá malý anglicko-český slovník termínů feministické literární kritiky vytvořený na základě přeložených studií zahrnutých v antologii Ženská literární tradice a hledání identit, jež sestavila Libora Oates-Indruchová. V teoretické části je specifikován odborný text a prezentován termín a jeho náležitosti, objasněny jsou také překladatelské postupy dle učení Vinaye a Darbelneta a Newmarka. V rámci praktické části je zahrnut samotný slovník termínů literární feministické kritiky a jsou okomentovány předkladatelské postupy, jež byly při překladu termínů využity. Práce se dále zaměřuje na překladatelská řešení, která se jeví jako problematická, a naopak zaznamenává také vhodné či zajímavé české ekvivalenty, jež byly při překladu termínu užity.

Abstract:

The thesis provides a small English-Czech dictionary of feminist literary criticism?s terms based on the translation of eleven essays included in the anthology Ženská literární tradice a hledání identit, edited by Libora Oates-Indruchová. The theoretical part deals with the field of academic discourse and presents a commentary on terms and their characteristics; the theory of translation procedures based on the scholarship of Vinay and Darbelnet and Newmark is also included. The practical part comprises the small terminological dictionary of feminist literary criticism and comments on different translation procedures used when translating terms in the above mentioned anthology. The thesis also focuses on problematic translation solutions and, on the other hand, comments on appropriate or interesting Czech equivalents used by the translators.
