Influence of order competition pairs and the audience vote in StarDance

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá lidským rozhodováním. Konkrétně je práce zaměřena na televizní pořad StarDance…když hvězdy tančí. Právě diváci tohoto pořadu jsou hlavním výzkumným souborem vlastního výzkumu. V první části diplomové práce jsou představeny teoretické poznatky ohledně racionality, omezené racionality a rozhodování. Dále je provedena rešerše výzkumů na téma ovlivnění rozhodování. V neposlední řadě jsou představena pravidla a smysl taneční soutěže StarDance…když hvězdy tančí. Vlastní výzkum je složen ze tří analýz, jejichž cílem je zjistit, jestli existuje vztah mezi pořadím soutěžních párů na základě hodnocení poroty a rozhodnutím diváků o zapojení se do hlasování. Provedena je grafická analýza dat, korelační analýza a regresní analýza. Přínosem diplomové práce je aplikovatelnost vlastního výzkumu na podobné situace.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is about the human ability to make decisions. Specifically it focuses on the television series StarDance...když hvězdy tančí. The audience of this television program are the basis for the research sample of this research. The first part of the thesis introduces the theoretical knowledge about rationality, bounded rationality and decision making. It also talks about previous researches into how decisions are made and how they can be influenced. The general information and the rules of the dancing competition StarDance...když hvězdy tančí are also introduced in this part. The research part of the thesis is composed of three analysis. The aim of each analysis is to find out, if there is a relationship between the order of the competing couples according to the points given to them by the judges and the audience's decision to participate in voting. There is a graphical analysis of the data, correlation analysis and also regression analysis. The benefit of this thesis is the fact that it can be applied to other similar situations.
