Decentralizované Finance – může DeFi soupeřit s tradičním finančním sektorem?

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce rozebírá problematiku decentralizovaných financí a tří hlavních decentralizovaných protokolů. Každý z protokolů reprezentuje jinou finanční vertikálu. Těmito protokoly je decentralizovaná burza, decentralizovaná platforma na půjčky a úvěry, a protokol umožňující asset management na blockchainu. Mimo svoji průvodní povahu je cílem této práce zjistit funkčnost zvolených protokolů a porovnat je k jejich tradičním protistranám. Každý protokol je také krátce zanalyzován v rámci ekosystému decentralizovaných financí. Všechna data a informace jsou veřejně dostupná díky transparentnosti blockchainu. Výstupem práce je zjištění, že i přestože protokoly fungují kvalitně a snižují bariéry přístupu k finančním produktům a službám, tak jsou limitovány vlastnostmi blockchainu, omezeným množstvím aktiv na blockchainu, nebo i snahou o decentralizaci.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis discusses the problematics of decentralized finance and three of the most prominent decentralized protocols, each representing a different financial vertical. These three are decentralized exchange, decentralized lending and borrowing platform, and decentralized asset management protocol. Apart from its introductory nature, the aim of the thesis is to establish the functionality of the chosen protocols and to compare them to their traditional counterparties. Each protocol is also analyzed as a part of the decentralized finance ecosystem. All data and information are publicly available due to the transparency of the underlying blockchains. The conclusion is that although the protocols function well and democratize access to financial products and services, they are limited by the underlying blockchain technology, by the number of assets available on-chain, or even by the pursuit of decentralization.
