Regional Literature as a Source of Cultural Identity; Regions Domažlicko and Náchodsko

Abstract:

Regionální literatura je nedílnou součástí literární produkce a jedním z výrazných prvků nehmotné kultury. Bakalářská práce "Regionální literatura jako zdroj kulturní identity; Regiony Domažlicko a Náchodsko" se snaží zachytit význam a funkci tohoto specifického druhu literatury, jehož podstatou je těsný vztah k určitému území. Hlavním cílem práce je zmapovat výskyt regionální literatury v rámci konkrétního regionu. Pro tyto účely jsou zvoleny regiony Domažlicko a Náchodsko, ve kterých má regionální literatura dlouholetou a silnou tradici. Zároveň je kladen velký důraz na činnost knihoven a regionálních nakladatelství jako subjektů, které výrazným způsobem přispívají k šíření a uchovávání regionální literatury. Závěr práce pak shrnuje dosažené výsledky, na jejichž základě lze vyvodit obecné závěry o současné pozici a funkci regionální literatury.

Abstract:

Regional literature is an integral part of literary productions and one of the most signifiant elements of intangible culture. The diploma thesis "Regional Literature as a Source of Cultural Identity; Regions Domažlicko and Náchodsko" is trying to realize meaning and a function of this specific type of literature, whose main principle is a close relation to a particular territory. The main aim is to map the appearence of regional literature within a specific region. For these purposes are choosen regions Domažlicko and Náchodsko, in which regional literature has a long and strong tradition. At the same time is puting emphasis on the activity of libraries and regional publishers as subjects which have significantly contributed to the spread and preservation of regional literature. At the end the obtained results are summarized and on the basis these results is possible to draw general conclusions about the present position and functions of regional literature.
