Audit of Receivables and Revenues of the Selected Company

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zameriava na problematiku auditu účtovnej závierky. Práca si dáva za cieľ vykonať audit v oblasti pohľadávok a výnosov vybranej spoločnosti. Podstatou bolo zistiť či auditované oblasti podávajú verný a poctivý obraz príslušného rámca účtovného výkazníctva. Pred auditovaním konkrétnych oblastí, bolo nevyhnutné vypracovať predbežné procedúry. Predbežné procedúry, ktoré výrazným spôsobom napomáhajú pochopiť testované oblasti, obsahujú najmä základné údaje o spoločnosti, analýzy kľúčových výkonnostných ukazovateľov, analýzy pervazívnych rizík, prípadne stanovenie hladiny významnosti na základe odborného úsudku. Práca obsahuje analýzu rizík na úrovni jednotlivých tvrdení v oblasti pohľadávok a výnosov. Reakcie na tieto riziká boli vykonané pomocou audítorských procedúr, testov kontrol a testov vecnej správnosti. Navrhnuté riešenie obsahuje okrem doporučení pre auditovanú spoločnosť, tiež požiadavku na opravu jednotlivých nesprávností. Na základe zistených skutočností, je možné vyjadriť sa k jednotlivým oblastiam a konštatovať výrok bez výhrad.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the audit of financial statements. The thesis aims to audit the receivables and revenues of the selected company. The aim was to determine whether the audited areas give an accurate and fair view of the respective financial reporting framework. Before auditing specific areas, it was necessary to develop preliminary procedures. The preliminary procedures, which significantly help to understand the tested areas, contain in particular primary data about the company, analyses of key performance indicators, pervasive risk analyses, or determination of materiality level based on professional judgement. The thesis contains risk analysis at the level of individual claims in the assertions of receivables and revenues. The response to these risks was carried out using audit procedures, tests of control and substantive procedures. The proposed solution contains, in addition to recommendations for the audited company, also a requirement to correct individual errors. Based on the findings, it is possible to comment on individual areas and to state an unqualified opinion.
