Joint care and the impact of child protection services

Abstract:

Práce zkoumá přístup sociálních pracovníků OSPOD k možnosti ovlivnit změnu jejich pohledu na střídavou péči a na její využití v praxi. Zaměřuje se především na to, jakým způsobem pracovníci OSPOD ovlivňují své stanovisko z pohledu změn v oblasti rodičovství a dětství. V teoretické části je představeno několik pohledů na rodinu, popsán vývoj rodičovství a dětství, činnost orgánu OSPOD a alternativy porozvodové péče o děti, převážně střídavá péče. Výzkum byl proveden kvalitativní metodou pomocí focus groups, kterého se zúčastnilo osm pracovníků OSPOD a 3 kurátoři pro děti a mládež městského úřadu, dále byla využita metoda sociální práce s filmem, konkrétně s filmem Jmenuji se Sam. Výsledkem je zjištění, že proto, aby sociální pracovník OSPOD mohl ovlivnit svůj názor na střídavou péči a zároveň lépe pochopil její silné a slabší stránky, je důležité vědomí, že rodiče, kteří se domluvili na střídavé péči, aplikují kritéria, která jsou pro pracovníka důležitá. V neposlední řadě je pro pracovníky v této problematice vnímání vývoje v oblasti rodičovství a dětství. V závěru práce autorka uvádí odpověď na hlavní výzkumnou otázku a další doporučení pro výzkum a praxi.

Abstract:

The work explores the approach of practitioners towards child protection services the opportunity to influence change in their view of the alternate care and its use in practice. It focuses primarily on how child protection services affect its position in terms of changes in parenting and childhood. The theoretical part presents several perspectives on the family, describes the development of parenting and childhood, the Authority child protection services alternatives and post-divorce child care, mostly alternate care. The research was a qualitative method using focus groups, attended by eight of child protection agencies and three curators for children Youth and municipal authorities, further, the method of social work with film, specifically the film I Am Sam. The result is, that in order for a social worker of child protection services could affect your opinion on shared custody and to better understand its strengths and weak points, it is important to note that parents who have agreed to joint custody, applying criteria that are important for the worker . Last but not least, it is for workers in this issue of perceptions of corruption in the field of parenting and childhood. In the end, the author presents the main research question and recommendations for further research and practice.
