Bakalářská práce pojednává o tympánových partech ve skladbách Gustava Mahlera a Richarda Strausse. Přesněji o partech v Mahlerově II. a III. symfonii a Straussově Don Juanovi a Alpské symfonii. V úvodu se práce zabývá historií tympánů, jejich vývojem, lidmi, kteří se o ten vývoj zasloužili a životem obou skladatelů. This Bachelor work discusses timpani parts in the compositions of Gustav Mahler and Richard Strauss. Specifically about parts in Mahler´s II. and III. symphony and Strauss's Don Juan and the Alpine symphony.
