The impact of the current economic symmetric shock on companies in the residential building construction sector

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je posouzení vlivu aktuálního ekonomického sy-metrického šoku na podniky v odvětví výstavby bytových budov. Jejím cílem je identifikovat významné faktory ovlivňující korporátní finanční výkonnost vzhledem k budoucímu vývoji dané finanční výkonosti. Za tímto účelem byla posuzována jak agregovaná finanční data celého odvětví, tak finanční výkazy výběrového souboru stavebních firem. Práce specificky zodpovídá výzkumné otázky týkající se jednak významnosti jednotlivých identifikovaných ovlivňujících faktorů a jednak také možného ovlivnění jejich dopadů. V závěru práce jsou shrnuta hlavní zjištění vzhledem ke zkoumanému problémovému rámci.

Abstract:

The topic of the thesis is an assessment of the impact of the current economic symmetric shock on companies in the residential building construction industry. Its goal is to identify significant factors influencing corporate financial performance with regard to the future development of the given financial performance. For this purpose, both the aggregated financial data of the entire industry and the financial statements of a sample of construction companies were assessed. The work specifically answers the research questions regarding the significance of the individual identified factors and the possibility of influencing their impacts. In the concluding chapter of the thesis, the main findings related to the investigated prob-lem framework are summarized.
