Positives and Negatives of Public Support (Subsidies) to Support Projects in the Hotel Industry and Gastronomy

Abstract:

The Objective of Master´s Dissertation „Positives and negatives of public support (subsidies) to support projects in the hotel industry and gastronomy“ deals with the current state of public support and the problem of drawing the European investment and the structural funds. Firstly, the theoretical part focuses on introducing the basic concepts pertaining to the topic and communicates with the entire drawing from the application and the conduct of subsidy to the implementation and sustainability of the project. The subsequent, analytical section, brings the reader into the issue, comparing two programming periods and their changes. It includes detailed analysis of the project carried out in the period of 2007-2013, in Resort Valachy, the hotel Horal in Velké Karlovice and the building of a new health centre. This thesis takes into account advantages and also disadvantages of pumping such funds, or unexpected problems and complications during the entire implementation period of the project. Furthermore, the design part, describes opportunities and recommendations, in the interest of obtaining funding for future projects. The conclusion is devoted to an overall summary and insight on the whole issue of objective, within the framework of the established advantages and disadvantages throughout the work. At the same time it confirms or refutes the hypothesis. This thesis is supposed to be beneficial both to novice and experienced entrepreneurs, who aim to benefit from these funds in the future for development of their business.

Abstract:

Práca „Pozitíva a negatíva verejnej podpory (dotácii) pri podpore projektov v hotelierstve a gastronómii“ sa zaoberá aktuálnou problematikou čerpania štátnej verejnej podpory a európskych investičných a štrukturálnych fondov. V prvej, teoreticko-metodologickej časti, oboznamuje čitateľa so základnými pojmami prislúchajúcimi k danej téme, a taktiež oboznamuje s celým priebehom čerpania dotácií od žiadosti až po realizáciu a udržateľnosť projektu. Následná, analytická časť, uvádza čitateľa do problematiky, porovnáva dve programové obdobia a ich zmeny. Taktiež je prevádzaná podrobná analýza projektu realizovaného v programovom období 2007-2013, a to v Rezorte Valachy, hotela Horal vo Veľkých Karloviciach a jeho budovanie nového wellness centra. Zmieňované sú výhody, ale aj nevýhody čerpania týchto finančných prostriedkov, prípadne neočakávané problémy a komplikácie počas celej realizácie projektu. Ďalšia, návrhová časť, prináša možnosti a návrhy riešenia v prípade ďalšej budúcej potreby získavania finančných prostriedkov. Záver je venovaný celkovému zhrnutiu a nahliadnutiu na celú problematiku objektívne, v rámci zistených pozitív a negatív v priebehu celej práce a zároveň potvrdenie alebo vyvrátenie hypotézy. Práca má byť prínosná jak pre začínajúcich, tak pre skúsených podnikateľov, ktorí majú v budúcnosti v záujme čerpať tieto finančné prostriedky pre rozvoj svojho podniku.
