Payment Instruments in the Payments System of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Ve své práci se zaměřuji na problematiku vybraných bezhotovostních platebních nástrojů používaných v platebním styku České republiky. Úvodem vymezuji pojem platební styk včetně jeho hlavních právních pramenů a vyjmenovávám veškerá hlediska jeho členění spolu se všemi platebními formami (hotovostními i bezhotovostními). Zvolené bezhotovostní platební prostředky pak postupně analyzuji v samostatných kapitolách. Nejprve vždy uvádím stručnou charakteristiku, poté se věnuji jejich historickému vývoji, podrobněji popisuji jejich příznačné prvky a praktické užití. Druhá kapitola náleží hladkým platbám, resp.kreditním operacím a přímým debetům. Nejširší prostor potom poskytuji instrumentům dokumentární povahy – dokumentárnímu akreditivu a dokumentárnímu inkasu, které zaujímají výrazné postavení v zahraničním obchodě. Komentář k šekům zabírá nejméně stránek v mé práci, neboť tyto platební formy dnes již ztrácejí na svém významu. Závěrem provádím celkové srovnání všech uvedených platebních forem z hlediska jejich výhod, nevýhod a řady dalších ukazatelů (finanční, časové a administrativní náročnosti, rizika jejich provedení, nutnosti právních aspektů a cenové politiky).

Abstract:

In my bachelor study I'm pointing out the questions of selected cashless payment instruments used in payment system in the Czech Republic. First, I delimitate the conception of “the payment system“including its main sources of law and specify all the aspects of its segmentation together with the payment of all forms (cash and cashless). Then I analyze the chosen cashless payment instruments in the separated chapters. First of all, I always mention a short definition, after that I mention its historical generation, I describe in more details its characteristic items and practical application. The second chapter belongs to straight payments, or more precisely to credit transfers and direct debits. Then the widest space I give to the documentary instruments – to the Letter of Credit and to the Documentary collection, which take up expressive standing in the foreign trade. The checks commentary concerns at least pages in my study, because these payment forms are not so important nowadays. At the end I totally compare all noted payment forms from its advantages and disadvantages and other different points of view (financial, temporal and administrative difficulties, risks of fulfillment, law aspects and price policy).
