The awareness of the start-up entrepreneurs about the tax and accounting aspects of business

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá informovaností podnikatelů v daňové a účetní oblasti při vstupu do podnikání. Jejím cílem je určit míru této informovanosti a zjistit, jaké informativní zdroje byly podnikateli nejčastěji používané a zda jim nějaký zdroj informací při začátku podnikání chyběl. Práce se dělí na dvě základní části – teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část zmiňuje základní aspekty, které podnikatelé musí splnit při zahájení podnikání. Stejně tak pokrývá vymezení důležitých pojmů souvisejících s podnikáním a popisuje možnosti vedení evidence podnikatelské činnosti. Na teoretickou část navazuje část praktická, která je postavená na výsledcích dotazníkového šetření. Z výsledků dotazníku vyplývá, že informovanost začínajících podnikatelů je na dobré úrovni. Mezi nejčastěji využívané zdroje patří blízké okolí podnikatelů a konkrétní úřady a jejich webové stránky. Zdrojem, který by podnikatelé nejvíce ocenili při vstupu do podnikání, jsou přehledně zpracované webové stránky, na kterých by bylo možné zjistit veškeré relevantní informace. Většina současných webových stránek tyto požadavky nesplňuje.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the awareness of start-up entrepreneurs in the tax and accounting area when entering business. It aims to determine the level of this awareness and identify the information sources most frequently used by entrepreneurs and whether they felt the lack of any source of information when starting a business. The thesis is divided into two elementary parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part mentions the essential aspects the entrepreneurs must meet at the start of their business. It also covers the definition of important business-related terms and describes the possibilities of keeping the records of business activities. The theoretical part is followed by practical part which is based on the results of a questionnaire survey. The results of the questionnaire show that the awareness among start-up entrepreneurs is at a good level. The most frequently used resources include the people close to the entrepreneurs and specific authorities and their websites. The source that would be most appreciated by entrepreneurs when entering a business is a well-arranged website where it would be possible to find out all relevant information. Most current websites do not meet these requirements.
